Berthalene Holden Franklin, 76, a longtime resident of Durham County passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at her home.
A native of Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and a Willow Jean Holden. She was of the Baptist faith and was a retired seamstress from Durham Drapery.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Eakes Funeral Chapel in Creedmoor by Rev. James Shelley. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor.
Surviving are her husband, William T. Franklin, Sr. of the home, two daughters, Mary Ellis of Timberlake and Tina Brewer of Durham, two step-children; Amanda F. Holder, and William T. Franklin, Jr., six grandchildren; Holly B. Reynolds and Chadwick Wayne Mulchi, Kayla Holder, Hannah Holder, Thomas Franklin, Lacey Delfino and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter J. Cauthen, a granddaughter, Courtney Jill Brewer and Great-grandchild, Kaylie Lynn Mulchi, three sisters and three brothers.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 16, 2016 from 9:30 – 11:00 A.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor.
